Certified Technician Feyer Ford is seeking an experienced Certified Technician. Our small town, friendly dealership is currently looking to add to our staff that has been in business for 20 years. The successful candidate may be required to work full time and some Saturdays depending on business demand. Job Description: • Certified Technicians perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with Ford and/or dealership standards • Certified Technicians diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, manual transmission, automatic transmission, etc. to specification • Certified Technicians complete Vehicle Report Cards to identify additional automotive repairs and recommended maintenance • Certified Technicians explain the transmission diagnosis and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customers • Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology. • Inspect and test new vehicles and record findings so that necessary repairs can be made.

Requirements:

Job Requirements: As a Certified Automotive Technician, you will be experienced and aware of the latest automotive technologies and be a persistent problem solver. The Body Shop Painter/Helper inter must produce quality results on time or earlier and must have knowledge of specialty painting techniques and technologies. Feyer Ford is seeking an experienced Service Technician who currently resides in or around Plymouth NC, and who has experience working with Automotive Franchises. Our small town, friendly dealership is currently looking to add to our staff that has been in business for 20 years. The successful candidate may be required to work full time and some Saturdays depending on business demand. Qualifications: Ability to follow strategy base diagnosis of electrical systems, mechanical systems and drivability concerns in today's newer vehicles offered by Ford. The ability to work unsupervised while completing tasks in a timely manner is a must. The ability to work on a team while demonstrating leadership skills is also a necessity. Having knowledge of automotive software along with current A.S.E certification is a plus.

Service Technician - Certified Techs, Maintenance & Light Repair Tech Positions Available!

We have immediate openings for Certified Service Technicians and Maintenance & Light Repair Technicians. Ford and Lincoln experience is preferred but not required. Experience with other brands will be considered.

Service Technician - Job Responsibilities:
The Service Tech's general duties will include system diagnostics, engines and transmissions, full automotive troubleshooting and testing, pre-delivery inspections, and basic oil, filter, lube, and tire proficiency.


Service Technician - Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
  • Diagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repair.
  • Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts.
  • Save and tag parts if the job is under warranty or if requested by the customer.
  • Examine the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required.
  • Notify service advisor immediately if additional work outlined is not needed or required.
  • Notify service advisor immediately if repairs cannot be completed within the time promised.
  • Keep shop area neat, clean, and be able to account for all dealership-owned tools at all times.
  • Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes.
  • Must follow all company safety policies and procedures, and immediately report any and all accidents to a manager or supervisor.
